I'm tired. Empty I'm tired.

I've been doing some thinking regarding recent events. As a social guild. I've always tried to lead the guild fairly and respected all members equally. Not once have I played favouritism toward anyone or to myself in considerations for gears or runs. So we need to get some things cleared up.

When it comes to progression runs (pretty much the only progression we have left is EC Hard mode), it might seem like I deviate from what I've stated earlier but this is not 100% true. Let me explain my criteria on who to bring on these runs. First of all, EC HM is a difficult operation in the sense that gear isn't the only factor in deciding who to bring. Even though guys still need to be at least full rakated out and be fully augmented so they don't hinder the team they're playing with (Sure its doable if all you have is only rakata but think about the fact that you're ruining 7 other guys experience as we undoubtedly will wipe more frequent than another person in Blackhole gear augmented). Another factor I use is the player skill. I'm going to say something we've avoided a long time, its the fact that we have players that are very situation aware and adapt to everything thats going on during a fight and guys who just follow formulas to the letter. I think everyone knows which group is preferred. Finally and as equally important criteria is that I tried to be fair. You guys probably notice that we have guys that are more available during op times and have participated in many more activities and we have guys that don't up up as frequently. Most often the case guys have good reasons for their absence (eg. work hours). Their lack of attendance for these reasons doesn't mean they need to be punished when we finally do something that everyone wants to go in. I'm sure if you're in the same boat, you also don't want to be excluded for something that you can't control over. If anything, I've tried to encourage the guys who has been absent to come with us on progression run unless it interferers with my first 2 criteria.

Don't ever forget that I appreciate every single member we have. Just because you got excluded in a run you really want to go in doesn't mean I prefer other members over you. If anything, I respect you more to have the maturity and understanding to have sacrificed your well desired position so other less fortunate members could participate in. When it comes to progression runs, we should think of the greater good which is the progression of the guild as a whole over our self needs of gear advancement or game progression. The guys we've lost over that reason has lost a little of my respect in that sense.

Finally let me remind you of something that some guys often forget, you know why I'm always so calm in the the worst of situations? its because I never forget that this is a game and I enjoyed hanging out with you guys more than the game itself. Every one of you have your own unique personality that I would cherish and appreciate if I met you in the real world. Losing each member is like losing a friend you've since been attached to. As a GM, its a heavy burden to feel like you're the reason these friends left you. Because of that, I think its time for me to step down and let someone else take over the lead. Perhaps someone with more experience and more tolerance to these heavy hitting emotional experiences.

Regards
Yang

I like your style bro. If people honestly have issues they need to voice them. Sitting there brooding doesnt do any good. You have always been upfront about this guild being a social guild and not a hardcore raiding guild. So with that if someone gets upset over raiding then they may have been in the wrong guild this whole time. If they feel the need to move on now, so be it, but they only have themselves to blame.

All that being said I think you have been doing a great job overall. If some people have issues that's on them and their lack of communication with the guild as a whole. I don't agree with you stepping down but if you feel you have to I support your decision. Like you said earlier I play this game for the people. Otherwise I would have been gone long ago. Some people just aren't like that and that's okay too and it may have just been their time to go.

Edit: A couple more points I would like to bring up. If the guild becomes anything other than a Social Guild you can expect myself (and I can assume a few others though I do not speak for them) to leave the guild. This isnt a threat to whoever takes over as the guild leader its just how its gonna be. Also, if we do in fact decide that its time for a new guild leader than the guild officers should also step down. It is after all their job to make the sure the guild runs smoothly and if we as guild believe that isnt happening it is not only the guild leaders failure but their officers as well. The incoming guild leader should be able to select who they want for their officers without having to worry about removing guild officers who they may not have been on board with and did not promote. It is the only proper thing to do.

Best guild leader I have ever had in an mmo (and I have played a few). If doing progression runs is becoming that much of a problem then I dont care if we dont run them anymore. I like the group of people we have in the guild, just running the ops we have, lvling alts, or whatever else we do in game is good enough for me. MoS was always suppossed to be a social guild, if people want a more hardcore experience then they can go somewhere else.

I'm tired. Empty My thoughts on this whole situation

I agree with what Kors is saying but i'm gonna be a little more blunt about it. I think yang should still be leader. I also think that yang shouldn't care if people bitch about not being in a certain raid, after all there is only 8 spots and not everyone is going to get to go. If alisar wants to be an immature little baby and cry about not getting to go then by all means let his ass leave, we don't need that kind of attitude in this guild anyways. And if what Rish is doing is because of not getting invited then her ass can leave too. So we shouldn't try to stop people who want to leave or try to make people happy that get mad over shit like this. If they want to act like that they can leave, I honestly could care less if they do or not. All that being said i say Yang should still be leader and I'm happy with the way this guild has turned out. I've made good friends with a certain group of them (specifically the axe murderers, and sae) but we dont need any negativity in this guild.

hey guys, thanks for the encouragement, I guess you guys will be stuck with me for a while longer. And guys, the reason I decided earlier to step down was not because because of Rish or Alisar but more so because I wanted to take a break and just hang out with you guys with no responsibility in the back of my head (In a sense maybe taking the easy way out). In terms of the raid situation, after some talk with a couple of you guys, I realized that there was a lot of misunderstanding that night and everything just spiralled out of control. I have tons of respect for alisar and rish, they've been with us for a very long time and they've helped all of us greatly from one time or another, maybe that is why I felt horrible when I found out that Alisar decided to leave us. In the end, that night with the raid was organized poorly and I apologize to everyone for it, I'll definitely work on that now that I've gotten some input. I also learned something about myself and its that I'm not good at reading people's emotions. Maybe you guys can help me out by talking to me when something is bothering you. Don't let it bottled up and spoil your day. I have no intention of doing that to anyone.

First of all, Yang SHOULD not step down. And he is not going to Smile . Also, guys if you think this is about gears or "individual" progression you are so wrong! But without getting into it all ... the bottom line is it was more of a lack of communication than anything else. And as for taking my ass out of the guild I am not doing it. Instead, of dwelling on it lets make communication better ... that would resolve many issues imo. We should be able to trust and be honest with each other and be able to freely tell what we feel. If the person feels they are all going to gang up on me and not see my point he/she might quit the guild without telling us why. All relationships even in rl have issues where people misinterpret each others intention and get hurt. Doesn't mean you don't work on them and resolve it without calling each other names Razz. I am sorry for my actions and i apologize to Yang and to others in guild. Thanks !
Also, Alisar has not just quit the guild he has decided to quit the game too. You guys fail to see if it was only about gears etc for him he would simply join other guild and not quit the game in itself. It means he really thought of us as his friends. Only friends get angry with each other ... you don't get emotional with strangers. So for people to say "I could care less for them and they can leave the guild" is even more hurtful. Even though its a game its real people who we interact with ... people make mistakes and have feelings. Sure, everyone can be replaced but I am just surprised that the guildies I have played with for so long now where better than that and thought of their guildmates more than just warm bodies. So ya I do value the relationships (atleast thats what i think they are) and I would like Alisar to come back to game and play with us. Everyone is valuable and everyone in guild matters.

Yeah, I hope Alisar comes back. He was a good guy. I had no idea any of this was going on, was this during the HM EC run? Doesn't matter anyway I guess. I just play to have fun, hopefully everyone sticks around and we continue to just enjoy the game. I like everyone in the guild. I know I can be an asshole sometimes, but I'm just kind of a dickhead sometimes, what can I say. Let's keep this guild rolling people, we have had a good group for a while now and I would miss anyone who wasn't with us anymore.

Heard back from Alisar. He was a bit upset but he hasn't quit the guild over that he said. He is ending his subscription of the game for a while as he is bored with the game as its kinda getting repetitive for him. Also, becos he has found a new job which will take up much of his time now. So he might come back to the game or may not at this time. He wanted me to inform you all so here I am. Thanks.

haha its such a pleasure to know you guys. to be honest, I probably wouldn't have lasted this long if it weren't for the wackyness that happens with us. It was indeed sad to see alisar leave. Its almost a mixed blessing that this game is going free to play soon. This way, we could always hang out when others get bored of this game. As for Day Z, i can't hold out anymore, i'll buy it this weekend if my friend couldn't help get me a copy.

I dont trust any of you any more. I get chills when I see you all. I am constantly on the look out. My hands are shaky, my breathe is labored when I am near you. I cant take it any more. I will destroy you all. I must SURVIVE!

DayZ. It will do things to you.
